Terms and Conditions for AIP
Effective Date: March 1, 2025
Website: AutoInsurancePortland.com
Welcome to the official website of Auto Insurance Portland (AIP), an independent insurance agency team serving clients throughout Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, Nevada, Montana, and the Pacific Northwest. By accessing or using this website, requesting a quote, or engaging our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of this site and our services.
1. Scope of Services
Auto Insurance Portland is an independent agency team that partners with multiple licensed insurance carriers. We do not directly underwrite or issue insurance policies; instead, we act as your broker and advocate, helping you compare, select, and obtain coverage options from licensed providers. Product availability, eligibility, pricing, and terms are determined by the carrier’s underwriting guidelines and approval.
2. Quotes and Binding Coverage
A request for a quote or completion of a form does not guarantee coverage. Policies are not active until:
-
A complete application is submitted,
-
All underwriting requirements are satisfied,
-
A formal offer of coverage is issued by the carrier, and
-
Payment and acceptance of terms are received.
It is your responsibility to review and verify all policy documents and details before assuming coverage is in effect.
3. Regulatory Compliance
We operate in compliance with all state and federal insurance regulations, including but not limited to licensing requirements set by:
-
The Oregon Division of Financial Regulation (DFR)
-
The Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner
-
The California Department of Insurance
-
Applicable DMV, PBOT, and federal consumer protection laws
We only provide insurance services in states where we are properly licensed and authorized.
4. Privacy & Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. We collect and share personal information only to provide quotes, process applications, fulfill legal obligations, or service policies. We never sell or rent personal data. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this site—including text, graphics, forms, and logos—is the property of Auto Insurance Portland and/or its licensors. Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution is strictly prohibited. You may print or download content only for personal, non-commercial use.
6. Accuracy of Information
We strive to maintain accurate, updated information, but we do not guarantee that all details—including product descriptions, pricing estimates, or regulatory updates—are always current. Please confirm policy details directly with a licensed agent and review carrier-provided documents.
7. Carrier Relationships & Limitations
We work with many carriers but do not represent every available insurer. Carrier decisions regarding underwriting, premiums, and approval are beyond our control. Our role is to present options, advocate for you, and help you make informed decisions.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Auto Insurance Portland and its owners, employees, and affiliates are not liable for:
-
Delays, rejections, or denials from carriers,
-
Financial losses due to lapsed, inadequate, or denied coverage,
-
Errors based on incomplete or inaccurate information you provide, or
-
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using this website or policies purchased.
9. Website Use & Restrictions
You agree not to use this site to submit false information, impersonate others, disrupt functionality, or attempt unauthorized data access. We reserve the right to deny access to users violating these terms.

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Oregon state law and applicable federal insurance regulations. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Multnomah County, Oregon, unless otherwise required by law.
